LOLA Y TULA, OWNER/FOUNDER
Lola y Tula collaborates with artisans in Mexico creating timeless and authentic designs for the modern woman.
Creativity, travel and adventure is what motivates me. I am first generation American, proud daughter of two Mexican immigrants. Our family has always strived to stay connected to our family heritage and this passion has been a source of inspiration throughout my life personally and professionally. My career began working in fashion for Ralph Lauren in New York City. Surrounding myself with the highest quality standards in design and a brand identify deeply American, I longed to create a brand that gave voice to my background. Creating LYT has allowed me to bridge my work and passion by sharing the beautiful indigenous designs handcrafted in Mexico for the modern woman.

Q & A
WHAT BOOK ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING AND HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE IT IN THREE WORDS?
Just finished two memoirs, Educated and Becoming. Educated in three words: Riveting, enthralling, a devastating yet triumphant American story. Becoming: Revealing, Inspiring,,,reading this book felt like reading about myself... about so many of us.
WHAT IS ONE (BIG OR SMALL) THING YOU’RE HOPING TO ACCOMPLISH IN YOUR BUSINESS THIS YEAR?
I hope to move out of the home office and into my own studio/ showroom in the near future!
WHAT DOES BEING LIBERATED MEAN TO YOU?
Liberty and freedom are at the center of any artist or creative. Our art, our creations they speak a certain truth. The liberty to do that, to have agency over my life and work is the most satisfying thing about being a business owner and making my own path.
